Mrs Kate Tabb is the school learning mentor. Her role is to oversee all activities and interventions with regard to those pupils who qualify for the pupil premium. She undertakes tailored programs for each child who is eligible. These are related to four areas; the primary being academic attainment and progress but also looking at social and emotional wellbeing, enrichment activities and any other support that would help children achieve their potential.
The pupil premium is an allocation of additional money provided to publicly funded schools in England to support specific groups of children who are vunerable to possible underachievement. The grant is provided to raise the attainment of these eligible children and close the gap between them and their peers.
Boughton Heath Academy places a great deal of focus on supporting children who qualify for the pupil premium grant. We want to ensure that these children have the opportunity to benefit from all that our school has to offer, resulting in them achieving the greatest possible outcome for their future.
